Andrew McCaughey

Legend has it that Andrew was born with a microphone, quizzing delivery room doctors on popular battlefield strategies of the Peloponnesian War. After being a steadfast trivia participant for the gloriously confusing years immediately following college education, Andrew had a revelation: “I could do this better.”
From that spark, McCaughey Standard Trivia was born. Operating this knowledge party since 2013, Andrew still pens every single question, develops every picture round, and sources every music track that appears in all of our games. What started as one venue, and a growing room of regulars, has boomed into a current weekly engagement of over 5 venues, dozens of private events, and even more dozens of friendships created.
When not behind the booth, Andrew can be found leading kayaking ventures, engaging in local politics, traversing the wilderness with his dog Julep, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, and enjoying a pint of the nectar of the gods - Narragansett Lager.
Ryan McAssey

CMO (Chief Moustache Officer)
A trivia teammate during Andrew’s formative Monday night drinkin’ n’ thinkin’ years, Ryan was brought on in 2019 to pick up the mic at some of our ever-growing roster of venues. Off of the mic, he is also the frantic fingers behind our newest marketing initiatives and the lens behind all of our custom photography (operating under his moniker of RJM Captures).
During the daytime hours, Ryan earns his keep as an advertising executive, towing the line between Mark Zuckerberg (minus the lizardperson complexion) and a modern day Don Draper (minus the whiskey…well some of the whiskey).
Justin Pimental

Thespian Extraordinaire
Justin has been on the McCaughey Standard Trivia crew since March of 2019. In addition to doling out esoteric questions and answers, he doles out high stakes questions as an 8th grade Humanities teacher in Providence, Rhode Island. Previously, he taught Theatre Arts, English Language Arts and History. Justin works as a middling actor with Epic Theatre Company, as well as several other dramatic outfits in New England.
While Justin maintains a healthy knowledge of all things trivial , his main passion (beyond his lovely girlfriend) is professional wrestling. Justin, here and now, drops the gauntlet to any and all claiming to know more about fake fighting than he.
Charlie Stoeckle

Dungeon Master for Hire
Charlie began as a formidable trivia player of Andrew’s Mansfield crew, coming on board as a regular host in 2020. Originally, he was the solo force known as “One Winged Angels,” and eventually began to mercenary himself out to other teams looking for that elusive win. His trivia playin’ then became a family affair, complete with his daughter going around and handing out stickers to fellow patrons. Either through stomach or conversation (or both) Charlie and Andrew became friends sharing a love of obscure movies, music, and other…TRIVIAL things.
During the daylight hours Charlie is involved in food sales, dealing with many restaurants and bars in the greater New England area. Also an avid Bruins and hockey fan, Charlie frequents the Providence Bruins games as well. Every Monday he is Dungeon Master for a 2 year plus running D&D campaign and takes an active role in many other table top games as well. So a proud nerd, hockey nut, husband, and father.
